Why Vision Did Not Even Try To Fight Thanos?

Vision was one of the most powerful characters in the team Avengers, as he had one of the infinity stones, mind stone, and was extremely intelligent, and he was also worthy to lift Mjolnir.

But regardless of all his super powers and intellect, he did not even try to fight Thanos, who on the other hand took the mind stone and killed him.

Superpowers of Vision

Their are numerous superpowers that vision has in the MCU , here are some of the superpowers of vision:

Ability to fly: As a superhero having the ability to fly is nothing special as almost every powerful character in the MCU has this ability, so this ability is not really a game changer but with vision the special part is he can not only combine flight with speed but his skill at flying is better than any of the Avengers as seen in the ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

Manipulating Density: This is a pretty unique superpower that Vision has, he can change the density of his body at will, which simply means he can become lighter than a feather any time any where or he could become so heavy that no one could even move him, he can also become hard as a diamond.

Almost a humanoid: Vision has the ability to process any information very quickly, he can perform complex calculations with ease and he also has the ability to tap into any technology at will which also allows him to contact anyone from anywhere, obviously within the technological reach.

He can become Intangible: Now this is a super cool ability that he has, he can become intangible at will, vision uses this ability a lot during fights as seen in ‘Age of Ultron’ when he often drives his hands through the opponent and rips them apart.

Worthy of lifting Mjolnir: “Whoever holds this hammer if (s)he be worthy shall possess the power of Thor.” And Vision is worthy of lifting Mjolnir, In ‘Age of Ultron’ Vision saved Thor from Ultron by using Mjolnir, moreover being worthy to do so also helped him winning the trust of the Avengers.

Immortality: Vision is immortal meaning he can’t die of natural cause, and not a lot of superheroes have the ability to life forever, vision is also a very hard opponent to kill but still Thanos was able to kill him with ease.

Energy Beam: Vision has a mind stone in his head which is his power source and the best part about having a infinity stone is endless power hence the name ‘infinity stone’ he can throw a energy beam using the mind stone which is extremely destructive.

Why Vision Did Not Even Try To Fight Thanos?

Having all these superhuman abilities was enough to give Thanos a very good fight but regardless of all that he choose not to fight, and the reason is his healing factor, vision has an accelerated healing factor relative to humans which means he takes less time to heal his injuries than a normal human being, but he still needs multiple days to heal major injuries.

When Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive ambushed Vision in the midnight they injured him very badly as the alien blade went through his body and we can see his body was glowing up with mind stone, so he was severely injured.

After that, when Avengers were defending Mind stone from Thanos’ army in Wakanda, Vision took some pretty bad hits again in the fight as Corvus Glaive stabbed him again, all these made him in a pretty bad condition to fight.

And on top of that Thanos came with 5 infinity stones and at that point, he was pretty much unstoppable as vision saw how easily he defeated the rest of the Avengers, and one of the superpowers of Vision is to process information very quickly, so he already knew there was no point of even resisting Thanos (given all the conditions).
